Booking Terms and Conditions
By submitting your booking form it shall be taken as confirmation that you have read and accept following Terms and Conditions:
1. BOOKINGS & RATES
1.1 Provisional confirmation of Availability and Rates
Upon receipt of a request for availability, the cottage rates and the amount of deposit required will be confirmed. Bookings are a first come first served basis for a minimum of two (2) nights with the exception of long weekends where the minimum stay is three (3) nights.
1.2 Exclusive and Additional Charges
Rates do not include telephone and internet charges, Pamper Packs, BBQ Packs, catering and/or any other additional third party services offered by Bauhinia Management.
1.3 Rates
Cottage rates quoted are on a per night basis and are based on the use of a one bedroom suite. Additional rooms available on request for up to a maximum of 6 people – additional charges can be viewed on the Rates and Bookings page of the web site. Check in time is from 2.00 pm on day of arrival with check out by 10.00am on the day of departure Monday thru Saturday and 12.00 noon on Sundays. Late check out may be requested however is subject to availability and will be advised at time of your arrival.
1.4 For bookings made 60 days or more in advance, an initial deposit of 50% of the Cottage rental together with the completed guest booking form must be received at least 60 days in advance before a confirmation of your booking can be issued. Final payment must be made 30 days prior to the commencement of the accommodation period.
For bookings made less than 60 days in advance, a full payment of 100% of the cottage rental together with the completed guest booking form must be received before a confirmation of your booking can be issued.
No Contract will be entered into between Bauhinia Cottage and yourself until funds have been received – Should funds not be received within 5 banking days from time of booking, the booking will be deemed as cancelled.
3. CANCELLATION
If it becomes necessary to cancel all or any part of the booking, Bauhinia Cottage must be notified in writing (email acceptable). The cancellation will take effect the day written confirmation of the cancellation is received. The following cancellation charges will be payable depending on when the notification of the cancellation is received in writing. More than 30 days before arrival date – 30% of full price will be non-refundable Less than 30 days before arrival date – 50% of the full price becomes non refundable. Non refundable deposits will be reinstated (less an administration fee of $35.00) if a new booking is secured in writing within a three month period of original arrival date.
The above cancellation charges also apply if Bauhinia cottage cancels the booking due to non payment of the balance owing. No refund will be given for departing the cottage earlier than agreed on your original booking form.
4. CHANGE OF BOOKING
A $35.00 administration fee will be charged by Bauhinia Cottage for any change of booking after a confirmation has been issued.
5. REGISTRATION OF GUESTS
The number of people staying at the property must not exceed the maximum capacity indicated by you in the Bauhinia Cottage booking form.
6. USAGE OF COTTAGE
The cottage must not be used for any purpose other than its intended purpose. No party, wedding or other such gathering inside or on the grounds of the Cottage are permitted without the express written consent of the Bauhinia Cottage Management.
7. DAMAGES
Should during the course of your accommodation , any part of the cottage or its fixtures, fittings and chattels or contents incur any damage and or/theft you will be held liable for such damage/theft and the cost of repairing damaged/replacing missing items will yours and such fees/charges will be charged to your credit card.
8. CONDUCT & BEHAVIOUR
The person signing the contract is responsible for the correct and appropriate behaviour of the guests staying at the Cottage. Should any member of the party not behave in such a manner, the owners or representative of the owners may at their absolute discretion ask the offending guest or guests to vacate the Cottage forthwith.
9. VALUABLES
Any valuables left at the property are left at the owner’s risk. Bauhinia Cottage Owners and/or representatives are not responsible for their loss or damage.
10. INSURANCES
It is strongly suggested that all parties are covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellations, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property.) Bauhinia Cottage and their booking agents are not responsible for any and all claims including accidents relating to the use of the Cottage facilities or locally procured third party services.
As deposits and rental payments are non refundable after a booking has been confirmed, we highly recommend you buy an all inclusive travel insurance that covers all your expenses should you have to cancel your journey.
Bauhinia Cottage Management and or booking agents will not be responsible for any delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events outside our control such as fires, floods, sever weather, acts of God etc.
